Early Life and Education


Born on September 20, 2003, in Phuket, Thailand, Opal Suchata Chuangsri grew up in a family deeply rooted in the hospitality industry. Her parents, Thanet Donkamnerd and Supatra Chuangsri, instilled in her the values of hard work and cultural appreciation. Opal attended Kajonkietsuksa School for her primary education and later graduated from Triam Udom Suksa School in Bangkok, where she specialized in Chinese studies. Her passion for global affairs led her to pursue a degree in Political Science, focusing on International Relations, at Thammasat University. Fluent in Thai, English, and Chinese, Opal embodies the qualities of a global citizen.


 Overcoming Personal Challenges

At the age of 16, Opal faced a significant health challenge when she was diagnosed with a benign breast tumor, which required surgical removal. This personal experience became the catalyst for her advocacy work. She launched the "Opal For Her" campaign to raise awareness about breast health and the importance of early detection. Her initiative aimed to empower women with knowledge and resources, turning her personal adversity into a mission to help others. 


Pageantry Journey

Miss Universe Thailand 2024

Opal's foray into pageantry began with her participation in Miss Universe Thailand 2022, where she finished as the second runner-up. Her determination and growth led her to compete again in 2024, representing Bangkok. Her poise and advocacy earned her the Miss Universe Thailand 2024 crown. She went on to represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico City, securing the position of third runner-up and receiving the "Voice for Change – Silver" award. 


Transition to Miss World 2025


In April 2025, Opal was appointed as Miss World Thailand 2025. Her decision to participate in another international pageant during her reigning period led the Miss Universe Organization to withdraw her third runner-up title, citing contractual obligations. 



Miss World 2025 Victory


The 72nd Miss World pageant was held on May 31, 2025, at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India. Opal's performance was outstanding, as she advanced through various stages of the competition. She won the Asia & Oceania Multimedia Challenge, securing her spot in the top 40. Her eloquence and commitment to her "Beauty with a Purpose" project resonated with both judges and audiences



During the final question round, Opal was asked about the role of truth and personal responsibility in shaping narratives.
