Assamese Singer Priyanka Bharali




Priyanka Bharali, born on October 10, 1988, in Jorhat, Assam, is a renowned Indian playback singer celebrated for her contributions to the Assamese music industry. From a young age, she exhibited a profound passion for music and dance, leading her to pursue formal training in these arts. She honed her vocal skills under the guidance of mentors such as Manish Bordoloi, Dr. Pradip Bhramachar, and Meenu Baruah, while also learning dance from Ashok Bordoloi. 




In 2009, Priyanka made her debut with the song "Kahili Puwate Jaan Oii" from the Assamese film "Jaanmoni," marking the beginning of her professional singing career. She gained widespread recognition with the hit song "Sesa Pori Jabo Nidiba" from the album "Lakhimi," a collaboration with Babu Baruah. Over the years, she has delivered numerous popular tracks, solidifying her status in the Assamese music scene. 



Beyond her singing career, Priyanka is also a skilled dancer and has appeared in various music videos, including "Manas Rabin’s Jatra." Her versatility and dedication to her craft have earned her several accolades, notably the Bhupen Hazarika Award in 2013. 




On the personal front, Priyanka Bharali is married to Jayanta Kakati, a DJ and musician who has worked in Mumbai and Bangalore. The couple resides in Guwahati, Assam.
