Jasmin Walia is a British singer and television personality of Indian descent, known for her contributions to both British reality television and the music industry.

Early Life and Education

Born on May 23, 1992, in Essex, England, Jasmin developed an interest in performing arts at a young age. She began singing around the age of 7 or 8 and attended theatre school at 10. Despite her passion for the arts, she pursued academics diligently, achieving high grades in her A-levels. She applied to the University of Cambridge to study philosophy but was not accepted. Subsequently, she worked as a customer adviser at NatWest Bank and enrolled in an accountancy course with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which she later decided to discontinue to focus on her entertainment career. 

Television Career

Jasmin's television career began with minor roles, including appearances in "Casualty" (2005) and "The Bill" (2009). She gained prominence as a cast member of the British reality TV series "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE), where she appeared from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, she joined the cast of "Desi Rascals," a reality series exploring the lives of British Asians. 

Music Career

Transitioning into music, Jasmin released her debut single "Dum Dee Dee Dum" in 2016, a collaboration with Zack Knight. She achieved significant success with the 2017 single "Bom Diggy," also with Zack Knight, which topped the BBC Asian Network's Official Asian Music Chart. The song's popularity led to its inclusion in the 2018 Bollywood film "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety." Jasmin has continued to release music blending English, Punjabi, and Hindi influences, with singles like "Girl Like Me" (2016), "Temple" (2017), and "Go Down" (2017). 

Recent Developments

In 2024, Jasmin made headlines due to rumors of a romantic involvement with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, following his separation from Natasa Stankovic. Speculation arose after both were reportedly seen vacationing in Greece around the same time.
