Along with her husband, Om Prakash Jindal, she founded Jindal Steel and Power, an Indian steel and power company, which after his passing expanded into various sectors, including power generation and real estate.
Jindal is recognised as not only India’s richest woman but also as the sixth richest woman in the world and the eighth richest Asian in 2024.
2. Rekha Jhunjhunwala
Rekha Jhunjhunwala, the wife of the late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, is the second richest woman in India. With a net worth of INR 76,840 crores and investments spanning 29 companies, including Titan, Tata Motors, and Crisil, Rekha has inherited a substantial stock portfolio from her late husband.
