On Aug. 22, the Guinness World Records announced that Fuerzina achieved two records: "most tattooed person living (female)" and "most body modifications (female)." Both her records were achieved and verified last year, according to Guinness World Records. "To be the most tattooed woman and to have the most body modifications feels a little crazy, I am grateful and excited for the future – and of course I am not done," said Fuerzina in a news "In terms of my body being covered, it is still hard to imagine a set ending. For many years, now, I've been moving towards more cohesiveness in my suit and that is still an aim of mine," Fuerzina added. "I still feel that some things don't flow as well, so my first objective is making those work better with the whole and then continue to build from there.

The 36-year-old retired veteran got her first modification at 21 years old, but is now covered in ink, including on her eyelids, eyeballs, gums, scalp and soles of her feet. Though her first tattoo, a symbol on her hip, got covered up with a phoenix tattoo, Fuerzina told Guinness that ignited a passion in her for the art form.

"I usually allow the artists a lot of creative freedom once I have found one whose style I am comfortable with and inspired by," Fuerzina told Guinness. “I do some of my own tattoos, but I mostly fill right now.”

As for other body modifications, Fuerzina has her tongue split (her first body modification in 2014) as well as five facial implants, punches to stretch her tissue and piercings all over her body. Fuerzina has also had parts of her ears and both her nipples removed.

Fuerzina broke the longstanding body modifications title, which was set by Maria José Cristerna in 2012 with 49 body modifications. She also beat the previous "most tattooed woman" record set by Charlotte Guttenberg in 2018, who has 98.75 percent of her body covered in ink. Guttenberg still holds the record for "most feathers tattooed on the body (female)" and "most tattooed senior citizen (female)."

For Fuerzina, the moments of pain associated with the tattoos and modifications are just a "small moment in time for something I can keep for life."

Fuerzina counts traveling as one of hobbies, often traveling to other countries in order to get tattoos — calling them "memories I can always take with me." Guinness World Records also reports that Fuerzina volunteers at animal shelters and with HIV organizations in her free time.

Fuerzina told Guinness World Records that she has faced "some negativity and rude comments" due to her appearance, but continues to spread kindness and acceptance through her body modifications. "At times, others' cruelty towards my choices can be difficult, especially when I advocate for kindness in general, but I recognize that's less a reflection of me than it is of them," Fuerzina said.

The Bridgeport resident will be featured in the upcoming edition of the "Guinness World Records" book, which will be released in September.
